Gunner Brook Fishing Derby for kids 14 and younger, Barre

This year’s Gunner Brook Fishing Derby for children 14 years and younger, which is hosted annually by the Barre Fish and Game Club, will take place on Saturday, June 08, 2024 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Registration is from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at “Lajeunesse Interiors”, 103 Plainfield Brook Road, Barre Town, Vermont.

This Trout-stocked fishing event has lots of prizes and experiences of a lifetime for children and their parents or sponsors.

This annual event originated as part of the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department’s Children’s Fishing Program, designed to give children the opportunity for a fun and successful fishing experience. These types of events are sponsored by local organizations and the Department, which provides 8″ to 10” stocked trout for the children to test out their angling skills.
